Questions

Before you enrol.

If your question is not here, write to us and we will answer it, then probably add it to this page.

Choosing a programme

Which programme should I start with?

Most people start with Practitioner. Foundations is right if you want to test the approach before committing, and Professional is for designers who intend to build a studio around this work rather than take on individual projects. Each programme contains the one before it, so nothing is repeated and nothing is missed.

Do I need to be a working designer already?

No. Foundations assumes no professional experience and starts with composition, colour and spatial flow. What it does assume is that you care about how a room feels and are willing to do the practical work each week.

Do I need expensive software?

No. You learn the tools a working designer actually uses, and all of them run on an ordinary computer. You will not need a CAD licence to start.

What if I buy Foundations and then want Practitioner?

Write to us before buying the second programme and we will sort out the difference so you are not paying twice for the same weeks.

How the teaching works

Why does everything not open at once?

Weeks open on a schedule, one every seven days, counted from the day you enrol. The practical work is the part that teaches you, and releasing everything at once tends to produce people who have watched a lot and made nothing. You always see the opening date for each week inside the programme.

How much time does it take each week?

Between two and four hours for most people: roughly an hour of lessons and the rest spent on the practical assignment. Nothing is live, so you fit it around your work.

Do I have to submit the assignments?

On lessons where an assignment is marked required, yes. The lesson will not complete until your work is uploaded, which also means it will not count toward your certificate. It is the only part of the programme we are strict about, because it is the part that produces the improvement.

Does my access expire?

No. Once you have bought a programme, the material stays available to you.

Payment and refunds

What does it cost?

Foundations is $497, Practitioner is $1,297 and Professional is $3,497. Each is paid once. There is no subscription and no upsell inside the programmes.

How do I get the waitlist price?

Join the waitlist and the code arrives by email. It brings Foundations to $349, Practitioner to $997 and Professional to $2,897.

What is your refund policy?

Fourteen days, provided you have completed no more than a quarter of the programme. You can see your own completion percentage at any time on your My Learning page, so there is nothing to argue about. The full terms are on the Refund Policy page.

Certificates and support

Do I get a certificate?

Yes. Complete every lesson and pass every assessment and you receive an Aesthete Academy Verified Certificate for that programme.

Who answers when I get stuck?

Ask in the discussion under the lesson, where the answer helps everyone on the same week. For anything account related, email support and a person replies.

When does enrolment open?

Soon. Join the waitlist and you will hear first, at the waitlist price.
